<<<<<<< Your version We run UMD's only working composting system. We host a two-chambered composter designed and built by us at our St Mary's Garden. Composting is open to anyone, but PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THE LIST OF ACCEPTABLE ITEMS -- just drop off your compostable materials in the bin. We currently are making progress on ourgoal of getting all apartments in St Mary's hall to compost as well as working with the Maryland Co-op and local coffee shops to compost their waste.
ON CO-OP BIODEGRADEABLE CONTAINERS -- We love them and support the use of BD containers, cups and utensils, but please don't put them into the St. Mary's composter. It is not sufficient for these materials.
