October 8, 7:30pm, 0125 Jimenez: Where Do We Go From Here? Recognizing that there is not consensus within the peace movement about the military occupation of Iraq beyond the fact that it has been poorly planned and disastrous for the people of Iraq, Peace Forum hosted a campus dialogue on peaceful solutions to the occupation in Iraq. Panelists Kani Xulam from the
American Kurdish Information Network, Dr. Butterworth from the University of Maryland, and student speakers Simon Fitzgerald and Shane Dillingham gave background information on the situation and outline their views on where the occupation should go from here, followed by an extensive audience discussion about the current options. Kani Xulam gave us a
Declaration of Conscience to sign in support of the people of Kurdistan.
