thoughts of march 16, 2005...

yes, the world is in a dire situation. but this situation didn't just drop from the sky. it is a product of the thoughts, hopes, dreams, and visions of millions and billions of people. some of these people had more power to make their visions reality than others. unfortunately, these powerful people also based their visions on greed and accumulation of wealth for themselves and those like themselves, regardless of the consequences for everyone else. they had their greedy goals, worked (or made others work) for them, and they've been successful in creating their dreams: a violent global society with massive inequalities in wealth and opportunity. george bush, dick cheney, bill gates, and donald trump all have visions of what they want the world to look like, and they are putting all of their effort towards making that come true. they've engineered invasions, computer revolutions, and buildings. but it doesn't have to be that way.

that's why i dream and have hopeful visions of the future. i want to be a contributor in where we are headed, and i will make a difference in my little part of the globe. without these visions and plans of a more just and equitable world, the only visionaries are the bushes and cheneys, and that, i believe, spells doom and destruction for the vast majority of creatures on this planet. without radically progressive dreams of a world based on justice and sustainability, how can we expect a radically progessive reality of a world based on justice and sustainability?

continue your visions below and email mailtoChris to find out what he's been envisioning lately...
